WHERE WE ARE IN RIETI
The city of Rieti is situated in the region of Lazio and indicates the centre of Italy.The city has 48000 inhabitants and is established at the foot of mount Terminillo, 2200 metres high, a famous tourist attraction for Italian lovers of alpine ski and winter sports (video of Terminillo here and here).
Rieti is a very ancient city, even older than Rome, for this reason there exist many leggends, like the one narrating that is this very city the "ratto della sabina" took place, organized by Romolo, the founder of Rome,who kidnapped the women of Rieti to populate Rome. Rieti is about 60 km from the capital.

HOW TO ARRIVE IN RIETI FROM ROME
The international airports of Rome are Fiumicino and Ciampino. From these airports it's possible to proceed to the railway station "Tiburtina" by bus or subway from Tiburtina station there are frequent (Co.tra.l) buses which will take you directly to Rieti.
